Economic data aplenty, but a dearth of company news – so the market ponders lugubriously. But are banks back in town?
Over the last week we have seen the European and US markets move higher whereas the Asian markets were weaker and surprise, surprise the Aussie market was flat like it has been for almost the last 5 months. We are up only 15.8 points or 0.2% since the start of the year.
On the Aussie market we got the largest daily move for a little while on Thursday and this was a down move which also happened to see the lowest levels since the June 8 bottom.
