Even though the US market was closed overnight for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Friday’s TRIN indicator suggested that the market was oversold. In general, when the TRIN indicator is excessively high, it indicates that there is indiscriminate selling on very high volumes.
The US market made valiant attempts during the overnight session (which is correlated to the Asian and European markets) in the last 4 days to try and rally higher, but was met with consistent selling during the US session with some rallying towards the end.
